Yep, you are. However, you should think about the following - and this isn't just for me, you should ask all mobile DJ's that you are considering these questions. If the answer is no to any of these questions, don't book them!

1) Do you have Public Liability Insurance? Yes - this is not a legal requirement, but if granny trips over my speaker, she can sue (you and me!)

2) Are you PAT tested? Yes - this is a requirement for all Public Sector buildings, but not if the mobile disco is held anywhere else.

3) Do you download music? I have not downloaded music since 2002. It's illegal - end of story. If any one is caught by PPL inspectors, you are looking at practically unlimited fines.

4) What back-up do you have? I work with a co-operative of DJ's who cover each other in the event of equipment failure or personnel problems.

5) Will I see you before the event? For events like weddings, I really do want to meet you before so we can discuss fine detail. This is at no additional cost.
6) If I book you, is this a contract? Yes it is. If you cancel within two weeks of the proposed date, I will expect 50 percent of the fee. One week before, and it will cost you 75 percent. If you cancel on the day, then I will expect the full fee.

7) Will you sub-contract the work to someone else? No. However, if there is a problem with the date, then I will ask you if you would like me to find someone for you.
